Terms of Service
1. About us
These terms apply to services supplied by SWITCHNROUTES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, number 16937336, registered office 41 Venture Court Road, DA12 2AT ("we", "us"). Contact: franciscojunioraxel@gmail.com, 07713 428533. "You" is the customer.
2. Our services
We provide network setup, Wi-Fi, troubleshooting, PC support and related IT services, on-site and remotely. The scope, price and timing will be agreed with you in a quote, message or invoice before work starts. Where there is a conflict, the agreed quote prevails over these terms.
3. Quotes and prices
- Prices on the website are guides. A written quote (email or message) confirms the price for your job.
- Quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.
- If the job turns out to need more work than quoted, we will tell you and get your agreement before continuing.
- Hardware and materials are quoted separately unless stated. Prices include VAT only if we are VAT-registered and say so.
- Travel is free within London and inside the M25. Beyond this we charge 45p per mile, agreed beforehand.
4. Booking, access and cancellations
- You must give us safe access to the premises, devices and network, and have the authority to let us work on them.
- Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. For late cancellation or no-shows we may charge up to one hour at our on-site rate to cover lost time.
- If we are delayed by something outside our control, we will let you know and rebook.
5. Payment
- Private customers: payment is due on completion of the work, by bank transfer, card or another method we offer.
- Business customers: invoices are due within 14 days, unless agreed otherwise. Late payments may incur statutory interest and costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
- Hardware remains ours until paid for in full.
6. Your right to cancel (consumers)
If you are a consumer and book a service remotely (online, phone or message) or away from our premises, you have 14 days from booking to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To cancel, tell us clearly (for example by email). If you ask us to start work within the 14 days and then cancel, you pay for the work done up to that point (proportionate to the full price). If the service is fully performed within the 14 days at your request, you lose the right to cancel once it is completed.
7. Quality of work
We will perform services with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and (for business customers) the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982. If something we did does not work as agreed, tell us within 14 days and we will fix it at no extra charge.
We cannot guarantee that a fault can always be fixed, for example if hardware has failed or an internet provider issue is outside our control. We will tell you honestly if we can't solve something.
8. Backups, data and security
- Please back up important data before we work on any device. Unless we agree a backup as part of the job, we are not responsible for data loss.
- We will treat your data confidentially and handle it as described in our Privacy Policy.
- We may recommend security changes. Final decisions on settings and spending are yours.
9. Third-party equipment and services
We are not responsible for faults in equipment, software or services supplied by others (for example your internet provider), or for manufacturer warranties. Where we supply hardware, the manufacturer's warranty applies, and we will help you claim it.
10. Our liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
- Subject to that, our total liability for any job is limited to the price you paid us for that job.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or business interruption), or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.
11. Remote support
For remote sessions you must be present or have authorised us in advance. Remote access software is used only for the agreed session, and you can end it at any time. We will remove any access tools afterwards unless you ask us to keep them for a support plan.
12. Complaints
If something goes wrong, email us and we will reply within 3 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days.
13. General
- These terms, together with your quote, are the whole agreement between us for the service.
- We may update these terms for future jobs. The version applying to your job is the one published when you booked.
- The laws of England and Wales apply, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (consumers living elsewhere in the UK keep their local rights).
